Renault sets up logistics facility in India

French vehicle manufacturer Renault has set up a logistics facility in India which will be part of its global supply network and will contribute US$315 million worth of component exports by the end of next year.

Renault has a joint venture with India's Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd for the Logan sedan and is also developing a low cost car with Nissan Motor Co and Bajaj Auto Ltd.

Renault also has a satellite design centre in India and confirmed it will export finished components to its manufacturing facilities worldwide from the new logistics centre in Pune.

Sylvain Bilaine, MD said the PUne facility will help support the international development of Renault.
